Ranier Technology Limited Announces Appointment of Michael Lewis as Chairman of the Board of Directors
CAMBRIDGE, UK – September 1, 2008 – Ranier Technology Limited, a medical device company currently developing the Cadisc™ artificial disc implant, is pleased to announce that Michael Lewis has been appointed Chairman of its Board of Directors. Michael brings over 25 years of executive level management experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry to Ranier.
Michael’s most recent role was as President of Gambro in Europe, Middle East and Africa where he also served as Head of Worldwide Marketing for the renal, liver and intensive care business which generates nearly $2bn in revenues and employs 8000 staff. Prior to this Michael worked in Lugano, Switzerland for Sybron, a dental materials company, where he served as CEO and General Manager in Europe. He has also worked for Boston Scientific in Paris, France and for C.R. Bard in New Jersey, USA in various executive roles.
"The addition of Michael to our Board brings a broad breadth of experience of the medical device industry as well as expertise in bringing new products to market and structuring and executing transactions”, said Dr. Geoffrey Andrews, CEO of Ranier.
